Call for entries for the 2009 GSUSA Calendar

 

Girl Scouts of the USA is searching for shining examples of how their girl members are changing the world.  Girl Scouts of all ages from across the globe, including Girl Scouts Overseas, will be featured in the 2009 Girl Scout calendar.

We invite Girl Scout councils to submit a summary of a project in which troops/groups and/or individual girls are involved, which is impacting and improving the community and world.The project must have been completed between 2006 and now. Submissions must be sent to kshipp@girlscoutssela.org by January 23, 2008 and must include details of the project and the results. Submissions must also include a minimum of two photos that would help bring the project to life. The final product will be a girl-centered and inspiring calendar that highlights the wonderful work of Girl Scouting. 

If your project and photos are selected you are automatically granting GSUSA usage rights for the 2009 calendar. Sender retains all ownership of their materials. You will be notified by December 31st 2008 if you are selected

Checklist

Please remember the following must be included in all submissions in order to be considered:

  • 1.      Project description
  • 2.      Project results
  • 3.      Photos of girl(s) or troop(s) involved. Photos must be 300dpi jpegs
  • 4.      Photo release form for anyone featured in a photo
  • 5.      Photo release form from photographer.
    Please note: State law governing releases can differ depending on which state the council and photographer are operating in. Councils should have their local lawyers review and supplement the release as necessary. Councils must fill in the intended use(s) of the photograph(s) prior to submitting the release to the photographer.
  • 6.      Council submission must include name of contact person at council, title and contact info
